Emilio and Gloria Estefan bring their culinary heritage to one of Miami's most creative neighborhoods

Miami, FL March 3, 2017 - International superstars Emilio & Gloria Estefan open Estefan Kitchen, a new fine-dining Cuban restaurant in the Miami Design District, a neighborhood dedicated to uniting design, destination dining, fashion, art and architecture. With Estefan Kitchen, the renowned Miami tastemakers collaborate for the first time with their longtime friend Craig Robins, CEO and President of DACRA, to open in the District.

Helmed by Chef Odell Torres, who was recently named one of Miami's Hot New Chefs by Ocean Drive Magazine, the menu offers reimagined versions of traditional Estefan family recipes, with dishes such as lechón flatbread, lechón crispy moros, vaca frita, braised short ribs and paella. Torres is also the executive corporate chef at the Estefans' acclaimed restaurant Larios on the Beach & Bongos Cuban Café, and at Estefan Kitchen, he continues to showcase the cuisine of their native Cuba with bold flavors and locally sourced ingredients.

Located in Palm Court, one of the Miami Design District's central hubs, Estefan Kitchen will present a rotating roster of live music and performing servers & bartenders, a nod to the Estefans passion for world-class entertainment. Based on a conceptual design by Emilio Estefan and Aldo Ducci of Arkiteko Co. The interiors are inspired by the beauty and promise of 1950s Cuba, paying homage to the vibrant design, culture and warmth of the era. Jose Vidal and Manuel Fernandez of V3 Architectural Group were responsible for overall architectural design, with Michele Gonzalez-Vidal, also of V3, rounding out the architectural team with her interior designs for the project. The space is outfitted in a monochromatic scheme and boasts dramatic mosaic murals, an art deco column and a modern 34-seat, oyster shell-mosaic bar where guests can sip a variety of refreshing cocktails. The restaurant features an outdoor bar adjacent to the Palm Court showcasing art installations, providing an ideal spot to enjoy world famous mojitos or Cuban bites. The restaurant's express café offers traditional Cuban "grab & go" items, cafecitos, traditional Cuban espresso drinks, fresh juices and healthy shakes.

With the opening of Estefan Kitchen, the Estefans bring their culinary heritage to one of Miami's most creative neighborhoods, offering locals and visitors a one-of-a-kind dining experience in an inspiring setting.

Estefan Kitchen will open to the public on Saturday, March 4, 2017. The restaurant is located at 140 NE 39 Street, Palm Court, Miami Design District. Serving lunch and dinner daily from 11:30am and the express café will be open at 9am.Valet and garage parking available. I found this article very helpful because it explains chimney maintenance in a straightforward way. Protecting masonry from moisture is just as important as regular inspections. The page on chimney waterproofing offers additional guidance for extending chimney life.

This was an informative and well-written article with helpful recommendations for homeowners. Regular maintenance makes a noticeable difference in both safety and performance. I also suggest exploring Wood Stoves & Inserts to learn about additional heating options and fireplace improvements.

One detail that often makes restaurants in creative districts stand out over time is how well they balance atmosphere with consistency. Live entertainment and striking interiors can attract first-time visitors, but people usually return because the food and service remain dependable even after the excitement of a grand opening fades. That same balance between presentation and careful planning is valuable in many industries, which is why structured learning such as a quantity surveyor course often emphasizes both creativity and practical decision-making rather than focusing on appearances alone.
